The Spillway

It's called the spillway by locals, and is actually in a section of town which is also named 'Spillway'. We were told by a local to go here...that the fishing was amazing, so of course we did. Parking on the side of the road, and taking a little hike to where areas were cleared off to get down to the water. It was beautiful..even with the mosquito bites, poison ivy and fishing lines and junk left here and there, watching the bounty of large fish that you could literally see swimming in the spillway waters, took my breath away...
The only disappointment was in seeing a group of snag fisherman. Never having heard the term before and being shown against our wishes what it was, we never want to see it again.

Here are our memories..

Don't worry..he is just getting it loose from the net

And you should have seen the one that got away...literally ! Aric's second gar catch of the day.

The pathway back to the fishing area

Doesn't look like much, but it was

Catie....well..she actually did catch a rock
