More from Reelfoot

Just some recommendations from us personally, from our own experience. We stopped at many places trying to rent a boat, and were sent on to this or that location. You will not find a boat rental at many places, in fact, out of season, we had a hard time finding a friendly face until we 'landed' at Bo's Landing. At Bo's Landing you can find just about any kind of fishing equipment you need, including rods, and bait. He will also rent you a boat for $35.00 for a day...however, after drooling over the selection of bank sinkers he had ( a personal odd little quirk of mine )....we bought Catie's stinky bait and decided to rent something elsewhere. Aric and Catie wanted a Kayak.
Now you just don't know what we went through trying to find a place to rent a Kayak, and when we finally did find THE place, the owner was not home....After a few tries we finally connected and we had one of the best experiences of the entire trip. I am telling everyone now, if you want to rent a Kayak or boat at Reelfoot, and just have an overall peaceful experience , go to The Blue Basin Cove Bed and Breakfast, only according to the owner..it is just now the Bed, no breakfast lol. The owner was a sweet lady that I really enjoyed talking gardening with while Aric and Catie went off on their Kayaking adventures...be sure to say hello to the talking dog while you're there also.  Cost of Kayak rentals...only $4.00 per hour...memories - priceless .
